Convinced that "social entrepreneurship“ was an idea very much needed in Western Europe, she founded Ashoka Germany, introducing a radically new concept of social innovation in the region and growing it into one of Ashoka’s most successful country offices.

Imran Khan, Embarc
Understanding that laws, policies and infrastructure have historically been designed to keep low-income communities from attaining a better quality of life, Imran Khan has identified how to increase the intrinsic motivation and skills of inner-city youth to counter these structures.



Lucy Freeman
CEO, Media Legal Defence Initiative

Lucy Freeman is CEO of Media Legal Defence Initiative (MLDI), a London-based NGO that provides legal assistance to independent media, journalists, and bloggers around the world. Lucy previously held various roles at Amnesty International, including Director of Gender, Sexuality and Identity, Director of Growth, and Africa Deputy Director and Senior Research Adviser. 


Riccardo Sabatini
Scientist & Entrepreneur

Riccardo Sabatini is currently working to solve drug design at genomic scale with his company Orionis Biosciences. He previously served as director of FoodCAST, EU - a research project on food commodity markets forecasting; was a founding member of Aiida and Quantum ESPRESSO - the largest open source suite for quantum modeling of materials; and the lead research scientist for Human Longevity - a Silicon Valley unicorn working at the intersection of genomics and artificial intelligence.

Mark Gonzales blends storytelling and design to unlock human potential and awaken the soul. Mark’s firm Institute of Narrative Growth offers coaching, mentorship, tool kits, and customized trainings to scale the best practices of story-centered change makers across the globe.


Ben Gleib
Comedian & Actor

Ben Gleib is a stand-up comedian, actor, and host of the hit TV show Idiotest on GSN. He was also a roundtable regular on Chelsea Lately throughout its seven-year run on E!, appearing on the show more than 100 times. Gleib’s online videos have received a total of more than 16 million views and, when in Los Angeles, he can often be caught performing at the legendary Hollywood Improv.

Rick Glassman

Stand-up comedian Rick Glassman starred as Burski on NBC’s “Undateable” and is cast as legendary writer / director Harold Ramis in the upcoming National Lampoon biopic “A Futile and Stupid Gesture.” In 2013, Time Out New York identified Glassman as “Best of the New Faces” at Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.

September 22, 2017

12:00 PM: Check-in begins at the newly opened Bower Lodge

Afternoon: Spa services, wagon ride, welcome hike, yoga

3:00 PM: Programming commences. We recommend arriving at SLC airport between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. to ensure you don't miss any of the festivities

Evening: Pre-dinner talk, dinner, evening entertainment until late


Day 2
September 23, 2017

Morning: Workout, breakfast, group run, horseback riding, adventure hikes, spa services, guided mountain-bike rides

Afternoon: Programming kicks off with our first speaker, lunch at Sky Lodge, fishing, guided mountain biking, archery tag, cook with the Summit chefs

Evening: Yoga, pre-dinner talk, dinner, evening entertainment until late



Day 3
September 24, 2017

Morning: Workout, breakfast, harvesting and learning about produce at Sandhill Farms, hiking

Afternoon: Brunch, spa services at the Lake House, yoga, boating and lake activities 

Evening: Arts and crafts, community dinner, evening entertainment until late


September 25, 2017

Morning: Guests must check-out of lodging by 11:00 AM
