Summit Powder Mountain

In 2013, Summit acquired Powder Mountain in Utah’s Wasatch Mountain Range–the largest ski mountain in America on 10,000 acres–with the vision to build a public mountain town focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, arts, and altruism.

An hour north of Salt Lake City, Powder Mountain is a year-round destination for an ongoing program of events and activities–a home to the emergent culture of creativity and collaboration exemplified by the Summit community.

Visit us

Since purchasing the resort, we've hosted thousands of guests from our community for programmed weekend events. These three-day gatherings are filled with outdoor activities–from skiing with pro athletes to mountain bike excursions and lake activities–thought-provoking discourse and discussions lead by industry experts, exquisite dining experiences, and evening performances from world-renowned musicians.

The weekends offer attendees a glimpse into the long-term development of our mountain town and the collaborative culture we work to instill.

Building a town

To date, we’ve built six miles of roads; twenty-two miles of mountain-biking trails, installed three new chairlifts, built ski lodges, restaurants, event spaces, and executed on millions of dollars of improvements to the ski resort, which remains open to the public.

Reimagining Mountain Design

On the backside of Powder Mountain, with sweeping panoramic views of four different states, we’ve broken ground on our town center and have begun executing on our village master plan, which includes a mix of townhouses, condos, cabins, and treehouses woven throughout a walkable town center filled with boutique shops, art galleries, restaurants, schools, yoga studios, coworking spaces, parks, and three hotels.
